Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC) is a major airport that opened in June 2010 and is slated to be completed by 2030. This will complement Dubai International Airport (DXB) in the long term.
Information:
There is a 24 hour airport reception desk (Airport Welcome Bureau) in the arrivals hall of Terminal 1 (Tel: (04) 206 20 32). Flight information is displayed on video screens in multiple languages. Two information stands are located on the departure level of Terminal 1, near Pier C 19. A tourist information office is also located in Terminal 3.
Two Dubai Dept. visitor information stands of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) (Tel: +971 4 201 0598; Internet: www.dubaitourism.ae ) are located in Terminals 1 and 3.

Directions:
The airport access road runs southeast of Dubai city center along the east side of the Al Khor River. Coming south of Dubai, cross Al-Khor on Al-Garhoud Bridge and head north, then turn right at the intersection with the airport access road to the airport. Travel time from the center about 10 minutes.
Transfer between the terminals:
The transfer time with the airport shuttle bus between the terminals is 10 minutes. Concourse C (Sheikh Rashid Terminal) is connected to the check-in area of Terminal 1 by a tunnel with treadmills. Terminal 2 is used exclusively for business and charter flights.

Public transportation
Public transport – street:
Bus : Public buses (Internet: www.rta.ae) run every 10 minutes between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. to the city center of Dubai. Lines C1, 11, 15, 33 and 44 stop in front of Terminal 1 and line 2 stops in front of Terminal 2.
Long-distance buses operate between the airport and major cities such as Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Sharjah.
Shuttle : Air-conditioned airport shuttle buses run to the city center and to over 80 hotels.
The Ras Al Khaimah airport shuttle connects Terminals 1 and 3 of Dubai Airport to the Hilton Garden Inn, The Cove Rotana Resort, Rixos Bab Al Bahr and Marjan Island Resort & Spa, as well as the Al Hamra Convention Center in the Ras Al Khaimah holiday area . Travel time: 45 minutes.
Taxi : Taxis (tel: (0) 4 208 0808 to the city center, which must be paid in advance, are available around the clock in front of each terminal in front of the arrivals hall. Women’s taxis are pink. Taxis can be booked in the arrivals hall of Terminal 1 The travel time to the city center is 10-15 minutes.
Public transport – train:
Metro : The red line of the fully automatic metro (Internet: www.rta.ae/dubai_metro) runs from 05.50 a.m. to 12.00 p.m. (Fridays between 05.30 a.m. and 01.00 a.m.) from Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 to the city center of Dubai. The green line runs north of the airport and can be reached from Terminal 2. Separate travel times apply during the fasting month of Ramadan. Depending on the destination, the journey takes about 10-20 minutes.

Money:
Exchange offices and ATMs as well as banks are available around the clock in all terminals. Dubai Duty Free (internet: www.dubaidutyfree.com) also offers currency exchange, banking opportunities and internet facilities.
Means of communication:
A post office (open 24 hours) and several internet kiosks (at gates C 18 and C 23) are located in the departure level of Terminal 1. Free Internet access via WiFi is available throughout the airport (the first 30 minutes are free of charge ). There are internet kiosks that work with a credit card, they are located in Terminal C.
Gastronomy:
There are numerous restaurants, fast food restaurants, cafés and bars in all terminals. In Terminal 1 in departure area C there are restaurants that offer Indian cuisine, Thai cuisine and hearty grilled dishes. Terminal 3, which is used exclusively by the airline Emirates and Qantas, also offers top international cuisine. Terminal 2 offers a smaller selection of bars and restaurants.
Shopping:
Numerous shops are available in all terminals, including fashion stores, jewelers, gift shops, bookstores and magazine stores. There are huge duty-free areas in Terminals 1 and 3.
Luggage:
Luggage storage facilities are available in the arrival areas of all terminals. There is a baggage delivery service for Emirates passengers in Terminal 3. Lost property (Tel: +971 4224 5555) can be queried using a form on the airport website.
Other facilities:
There is a medical service in all terminals (open 24 hours). Pharmacies are located in Terminals 1 and 3. A fitness club and a waiting room for unaccompanied minors are located on the departure level of Terminal 1. There are prayer rooms in all terminals.

Conference and meeting rooms:
There are two business centers in Terminal 1: The Global Link on the departure level (at gate C 16) offers an internet café, ISDN connections, a 24-hour secretarial service and is open to all flight passengers. The Connect at the Dubai International Hotel (Tel: +971 4 224 4000; Internet: www.dubaiintlhotels.com) offers 5 meeting rooms and a conference hall as well as extensive secretarial and office services in Terminals 1 and 3.
The airline lounge for Lufthansa guests is located near gate C26. Other airlines also offer lounges.
The Al Majlis VIP Service (Tel: +971 4 504 5196) is available in Terminal 3. This offers the use of various lounges, limousine transfer to the plane, help with check-in, entry and luggage.
Accessibility facilities:
The airport staff will assist disabled travelers. In rows A and B of the departure level of Terminal 1 there are special information counters (Tel: +971 4 224 5555) for disabled passengers. Electric trolleys for handicapped transport and waiting rooms for disabled travelers are available.
Parking spaces:
Short-term parking spaces are available in front of each terminal. There is a long-term parking lot some distance away from the terminals, there is a free shuttle bus (journey time 5 minutes).
Car rental:
The car rental companies Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz and Thrifty are represented in the arrivals hall at the airport.
