One of the most anticipated attractions of the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH) in Geneva, the most important event of the watchmaker fine Swiss that took place from 20 to 24 January, is the presentation of the creations ofMontblanc and this year the brand, as usual, did not disappoint, displaying for the first time, the Montblanc Star Twin Moonphase, one of the highlights of the designer for this year.
The most striking feature of this beautiful clock lies in the fact of the part to display the phases of the moon as they are seen in the two hemispheres of the earth, something extremely rare and that depends on an additional module applied to the complication, that Montblanc will only use in this model.
The Star Twin Moonphase has a display, carefully designed, adorned by a refined decoration of guilloche in the contours of the star of Montblanc. The watch also features red accents on the minute and on the scales of calendar, date hand with the tip in the shape of a crescent moon, Arabic numerals, black (own collection Montblanc Star) highlighting the pointers are of blued steel, the hour and minutes in the format of a sheet, in addition to the seconds hand with the emblem of the brand at its end.
Encased in a polished stainless steel case, the watch is also protected by a domed antireflective sapphire crystal that is repeated on the other side of the box to reveal the clear vision of the precision of the mechanical calibre MB 4810/913. It oscillates at a pace 28,800 semi-oscillations per hour (4 Hz) and, if the timepiece is left standing in a longer interval, the calibre can be wound manually by turning easily the crown ribbed stainless steel, decorated with the emblem Montblanc.
The leather strap of crocodile has a locking buckle stainless steel triple folding, and the changes in the time and moon phases are made by means of two buttons located on the side of the box.
Release only at the end of the year, the price is still undefined.
